Tiemen Hiemstra was born in Groningen, the Netherlands, in 1991. After completing his studies in Antwerp, he moved to Leipzig, where he began working on his first novel. While working as a postman for a period, he continued to pursue his writing career. His debut book, W., was published in 2023 and received several awards. His works have been translated into various languages, including German, Turkish, and Italian. He continues his literary work today.
