Başak Sayan was born in Ankara in 1977. After completing her primary and secondary education in Ankara, she moved to Istanbul for university studies and began her acting career. By appearing in numerous television series and films, she became one of Turkey’s well-known actresses. Sayan has stated that she has been interested in writing since childhood, and her first novel, Bağlanma Korkusu, was published in 2011. Alongside acting, she continues her work as a writer. She remains active in the fields of literature, reading culture, and creative production.
