Nermin Mollaoğlu was born in Bulgaria in 1975. After working for a period as a midwife and English teacher, she founded Kalem Literary Agency in 2005. For many years, she has been working to promote Turkish literature abroad and support its translation into different languages. She has contributed to the publication of Turkish authors in more than fifty languages. She continues to work actively in the field of international publishing. Since 2009, she has also been organizing ITEF – Istanbul International Literature Festival.
