Saadet Özen completed her middle
and high school education at Notre Dame de Sion French High School. After
graduating from the Department of Archaeology and Art History at Istanbul
University, she earned her master’s degree from the Department of History at
Boğaziçi University. She is currently pursuing her PhD at EHESS in Paris,
focusing on modern travel culture in the Late Ottoman Period. Her published
books include Çukulata, Çikolatanın Yerli
Tarihi and Notre Dame de Sion, 150
Yılın Tanığı. She has translated works by writers such as Fernando Pessoa,
Amin Maalouf, José Saramago, and Albert Cohen from French, English, Spanish,
and Portuguese into Turkish. After working as an editor for various publishing
houses, she has been working as the publishing director of Everest Yayınları
since 2020.
