Simge Konu was born in Istanbul in 1983. She graduated from the Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Hacettepe University and completed her master’s degree in the Department of Italian Language and Literature at Istanbul University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the Translation Studies Program at Istanbul University. She works as a freelance translator and translation editor in English and Italian. Her work mainly focuses on children’s literature, which she sees as a powerful form of storytelling for readers of all ages. In addition to children’s literature, she is also interested in music, cinema, urban history, and architecture.
