Hande Çiğdemoğlu was born in 1979 in Istanbul. She won the third prize in the Seyhan Livaneli Short Story Competition in 2020, the first in the 2020 Fakir Baykurt Short Story Competition, and the grand prize in the 2021 Writer of the Year Gülten Akın Letter Competition. In 2022, she published her first short story book Kâğıt Kesiği (Paper Cut) was published. She lives in Yalova. She has two sons.
