Sun-Mi Hwang is a beloved Korean children’s writer and novelist in South Korea, where she has won many awards and published more than sixty books enjoyed by adults and children alike. Her works handle a variety of subject matters such as the meaning of freedom, the value of love and eco-conscious thinking. Hwang has been nominated for the 2012 International Andersen Award, and she was invited to the 2014 London Book Fair as the "Author of the Day".
