Luigi Ballerini is a novelist who produces works for young people living and working in Milan. He has published more than thirty novels so far, receiving the Andersen Prize in 2014 (La signorina Euforbia, San Paolo), the Bancarellino Prize in 2016 (Io sono Zero, Castoro) and the Fenice Europa Prize, an Italian novel in the world, and He also won the White Ravens (2010 and 2019) award twice. His novels have been translated into twelve languages. The freelance journalist deals with educational issues for various national newspapers and collaborates with many schools, meeting with teachers, parents and children on youth and family issues. He is among the authors of the animated series Meteoheroes, which was broadcast in 120 countries. He runs the Writing Course for Young People at the Flannery O'Connor School in Milan.
