Nermin Yıldırım

Nermin Yıldırım (b. 1980, in Bursa) graduated Eskisehir Anatolian University, at the Faculty of Communication Sciences Department of Press in 2002. She worked as journalist, editor and columnist for various newspapers and magazines, and as a copywriter for advertisement agencies. Her first novel, Unutma Beni Apartmanı was published by Doğan Publishing in 2011. It was followed by Onu Rüyalar Anlatılmaz (2012, Doğan Publishing), Saklı Bahçeler Haritası (2013, Doğan Kitap) and Unutma Dersleri (2015, Doğan Kitap).

Nermin Yıldırım, whose novels have been translated into Serbian, Bulgarian, French, Chinese and Arabic, has participated in international projects such as Manchaster Letters, Tramline Project and did collaborative works with foreign authors from different countries. She spent the winter of 2003 in Köln, as the first Turkish author that Culture of Department invited from Turkey within the program which hosts artists from all over the world, and spent the fall of 2015 in Shangay likewise.

She lives in Barcelona and İstanbul.
