Nermin Mollaoğlu was born in 1975 in Bulgaria. She worked as a delivery nurse and an English teacher for a while. She founded Kalem Literary Agency in 2005. In addition to the sale of translation rights from foreign languages into Turkish, she also represents Turkish literature abroad and has succeeded in getting Turkish writers being read in more than 50 different languages. She is still actively working on promoting Turkish literature in other languages. She has also been organizing the ITEF - Istanbul International Literature Festival since 2009. Mollaoğlu, who loves to travel, has watched the sunset in 72 different countries.
