Seray Şahinler was born in İstanbul. She graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, started journalism in 2010 as a reporter at Akşam Newspaper. She has been working as the art and culture editor for Milliyet Newspaper since 2021, her exclusive news and writings published on the newspaper’s art and culture supplement. Her first biography Ağabeyim Orhan Veli was published by Doğan Kitap. She is married and has one child.
