Marek Šindelka is a poet, novelist and scriptwriter. He made his debut with a volume of verse Strychnine for which he was awarded the Jiří Orten Prize 2006. Two years later, he published his first novel Chyba (Aberrant). He twice received the Magnesia Litera Prize for prose, with short story collection Stay Tuned and with his novel Material Fatigue. He was translated into fifteen languages.
