Guy Bass grew up dreaming of being a superhero – he even had a Spider-Man costume. The costume doesn’t fit any more, so Guy now contents himself with writing books and plays. He is an award-winning author, whose children’s books series include Stitch Head, ATOMIC!, Dinkin Dings and Gormy Ruckles. In 2010 he won a Blue Peter Book Award for Dinkin Dings and the Frightening Things.
Guy was first published in 2008, and his books have since been translated into several languages. He has also written a number of plays for both adults and children.
Guy has previously been a theatre producer, illustrator and has acted his way out of several paper bags. His recent illustration work includes the Munglers Trumps Trading Cards, an ongoing reading incentive project in the UK.
Guy lives in London with his wife and enjoys nothing more than a jolly good pun.
*Guy Bass' events are part of the event series at ITEF,in partnership with the British Council.
